Guilty pleasure blog!! I do not have the opportunity of photographing concerts often but when I had a friend reach out to see if I would like to tag along for this concert I was jumping for the chance. I love getting to play with angles, lights, and a area of photography that presents different and new challenges!

Going into this show I did not know the headliner, The Oh Hellos. I knew the energy that the openers brought to the stage so I assumed this was going to be a great show with some great music! Both bands took the stage with great performances and killer music. As I went through the show I loved the music, it is different than my normal mainstream radio stations, or even the country stations. I was stopped in my tracks, however when The Oh Hellos took a moment near the end of their set to hum the entire song of “Come Thou Fount”. It was a very raw and rare moment for me. In that moment I knew that I was no longer a first time listener, but a life long fan.

Lost and Found did such an amazing job taking the stage to one of their larger crowds. They all seemed so poised and at home on stage. The Oh Hellos took the stage as they usually do (so I am told) and left that stage with everyone chanting their names for an encore. My heart was blessed last Friday night at this concert. Thank you to both the bands for their performances and allowing me to run around your stage taking pictures. - Max
