Turks & Caicos Wedding Story with Kristina + Colin
I can't decide where to start. To describe this group of people as important to me would be a huge understatement but in reality I don't know them all that well. Colin is the brother of another pretty important groom that I shot last year in Vermont. His wife Cait is the little sister of another incredibly important bride to me Kelly. One of her friends Mike married a friend of mine Heather who's wedding in Vermont started a whole stream of New England weddings that has really put us on the map. If you've lost track trying to keep up with all of that welcome to my life. In reality this is the latest in a long run of weddings that have all been completely incredible and these two may have actually raised the bar. Kristina + Colin are two of the most genuinely kind people I know. They have a clear knack for attracting completely wild friends and have two of the sweetest families I can imagine (not to mention managed to drain most of this entire island of Rum Punch in one weekend). This wedding was a complete adventure from the moment we took off in a van to try and find the perfect spot for a first look to us diving in to rough water over a reef for an underwater couple's session and every single moment in between! I could clearly go on forever about this little adventure but the reality is that these photos say more than I ever really could. I will say this - the wedding that lead to this one for us in Vermont was by far the most famous wedding I've ever shot. After being posted by Kleinfelds, Style me Pretty, Anne Barge, and about 15 other wedding blogs and companies I felt quite a bit of pressure on this one - but I'm happy to say I think Melissa and I may have outdone ourselves again. Shooting along side my wife is ALWAYS one of the most amazing experiences for me. The way she sees light, interprets a moment, even where she chooses to stand during a shot is so unique to how I do things that I'm always left inspired. I can certainly say that this wedding was the best possible outcome for us, beautiful beaches, amazing friends and family, and a gorgeous couple.
