WEDDING STORY . Yanina + Justin Cabo
Fear. The part of life that comes through in all of us at one point or another. I have stood at the end of an aisle roughly 50 times. There was fear walking into those first several, fear to perform, fear to live up to the image and quality of a team that is backing me. This fear had turned into drive and honestly had disappeared on most local weddings. You are used to the way the light reads, or the way the venues cast light through them, and the vendors that we work with. Traveling internationally definitely put me back into a little bit of this fear. I did what I always do before a big moment of pressure, I stepped back, took a breath and did what I know best, capturing moments. My dream of becoming an international destination wedding photographer was right here waiting for me to just take it and run.
Yanina and Justin were two of the sweetest people. Yanina knew of our company through a mutual friend and reached out right away after her engagement. Due to her and Justin's crazy work schedules, living in different states, and traveling together to exotic places made it difficult for us to meet and get to know each other before the actual wedding. Both of their families and groups of friends were so accepting and welcoming to Brandon and I as we arrived to the party.
Justin was so busy the whole weekend making sure that every detail was right for each event but when it came time to see his Bride there was a calm over him. Of course he had no idea she was sneaking up behind him but he just relaxed knowing that the day was here. The time to marry this woman he loved, this woman he got to adventure with, and the woman he wanted to be with the rest of his life. Watching these two laugh and cry while taking their couples photos made this job all the more fun for me. Yanina and Justin went from one of the most beautiful desert beach scenarios I've seen to their honeymoon in Iceland. These two embody the sense of adventure, and they throw fear to the wind. I am so excited that we are all friends now and I can't to see where they go next. I just want to say thank you to them for taking me on the adventure to Mexico with them as they said their I do's.
