A LETTER TO MY GREATEST FRIEND - BAILEY

Thomas,

Since I was 13 years old I knew I had a friend in you. What I didn’t know then was just how special that friendship was going to be. You are my greatest friend. We went from talking about Popeyes chicken and walking to 7th hour together as eighth graders to singing in the car and dreaming about our futures together as college students. You are my greatest friend. We have laughed, we have cried (okay, maybe that one’s just me), and we have made some of the sweetest memories I have together. I am not sure when, but at some point I was just unable to picture a life without you. I knew I never wanted our adventures to end. When I think about the future with you, I think about the little things. I dream about coffee on the porch and eating microwave burritos while watching Criminal Minds. I think about staying up late laughing about our days and waking up next to your sweet face. You are my greatest friend. I do not spend much time thinking about the hard times we will face because, I am pretty sure there is nothing a trip to Andy’s and singing 80’s songs in the car can’t fix. I am so thankful that God had our paths cross as awkward middle schoolers. I am even more thankful that He made your hand the one that will hold mine for forever because, you are my greatest friend.
