Sunset Engagement . Emma + Josh

As two people who are so well known in this world, how do you even do a write-up? My fears in writing a blog about Emma and Josh is that so many people follow them, their lives, and their relationship up to this point. They have watched along as these two have blossomed into the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. McDaniel. People are encouraged, blessed, and grown by these two, by their actions, by their lives, and by the faithfulness that they carry. I will be honest; I had heard of Emma. I had seen a little bit about her story just by living in proximity to her. When I got the call from Josh about him wanting to propose to his girlfriend, I was excited. I was looking forward to meeting him, and this woman who had captured a man, even though I had just met, I could tell had a pure and excited heart. When I realized it was Emma, I was even more excited to be there and be a part of this day for a woman and man who have inspired so many.

As you may know, I was there for their proposal, and their images were so sweet, genuine, and love-filled. But when I posted those, I wasn’t ready for the messages, the number of people scattered across my life who have followed them. It was this moment that I think I realized that these two humans had a hold of an audience, a crowd so excited by what God is doing with and through them. For me, however, they are Josh and Emma, two sweet, intentional, and loving humans. So invested in everyone around them and so infectious with excitement that it excites me to sit back and watch them. To hear their desires, to watch them love each other effortlessly. Watch them laugh hard, love harder, and serve one another. I don’t know what I can tell you about these two that you don’t already know. What I have witnessed is that they are genuine, lovable, heartfelt, intentional, and invested in anyone who comes along in their life! I am blessed by these two, their sweet, thoughtful texts to me, their desire to know me, my wife, my story, and how they have invited me into their lives for not just this day but from here on out.

Josh and Emma, thank you for blessing me and blessing my next year with stories, laughs, and moments that I get to capture with you both, your family. I look forward to your wedding day and documenting it, but more than that, I am excited to document you two, being the people you are and the love you share!
