Southern Engagement Sessions. Kelsey + Josh

Thinking of you is a poison I drink often.
— Atticus

I wish I could remember when I met Kelsey for the first time. I'm not even really sure where it was. We worked together for awhile in college, so I'm sure it was there but regardless she was pretty instantly in my group of friends. We both had our own groups of course but her big laugh and bigger personality was kind of always around. I'm not sure how it's been 10 years since then, somehow time has just passed by completely and here she is again in my life. The same old Kelsey only this time I'm meeting the guy who was always "the guy". Josh is just an all around good guy. He comes across easily, straight forward, kind, confident. He holds Kelsey like she's completely safe but not too tight so she has plenty of room to do her own thing. This shoot was more me watching them dance and laugh than it was a session about their photos. Of course I try to direct a little here and there but for the most part what you'll notice in these images is real, authentic emotion. The laughs, the flirty little kisses, and the tight passionate grasps of fingers into each other's backs - that's all them. I'm just lucky enough to have had the chance to sit back and observe. I'm so excited to see life happen for these two, but first - to shoot Kelsey walk down the aisle to Josh in June.
