We all got lost together. Lake Placid, NY is on the very edge of the earth and yet it was the perfect place to sneak away and see Katie + Joe get married. The most beautiful views for wedding photos and a perfect day filled with love and memories.

Every little detail mattered. Hunt Chapel in Rogers, Arkansas is one of the most beautiful glass chapels in the Northwest Arkansas area and Heather + Kipp’s wedding was an elegant, intentional, perfect day spent inside these beautiful walls.

It’s probably a weird way to start a blog post but it’s oddly relevant with where I’m at in my life right now. You see while I’m still shooting weddings for the most beautiful couples just like Merritt and Brady I’m also coaching photographers from all over the world. There’s this dichotomy in my life at the moment. Wandering around old downtown Rogers, Arkansas like I did yesterday with these two with the conversations from my podcast call or the marketing strategies of a photographer on the other side of the country still floating around in my head. I spent years trying to figure out how I was going to take over the world, call it a young man’s dilemma but something happened to me just at the very beginning of the pandemic. I realized that though I’m often skeptical of the truth, I’m so quick to believe a lie. Negative self talk is something that has become so ingrained in our society these days that instead of simply discussing it - we all avoid it all together. We hide behind humility instead of admitting to being self deprecating and perhaps more often then not we feel unwanted, unuseful, unloved, unworthy and then wander through life trying to find the answers to unlock our joy.
