New York Engagement Photography, Sunrise on the Brooklyn Bridge

No secrets here, Brooklyn is one of my favorite places in the world because it looks directly at one of my other very favorite places. A few years ago I woke up about 4:30 in the morning and took off to shoot the sunrise with a couple on this iconic bridge and the result was amazing. One of my very favorite sessions I’ve ever shot but it’s always kind of haunted me that I just didn’t finish it out the way I wanted to. Fast forward a few years and I had the right couple, the right sunrise, the right weather, and the right opportunity. I’m sure when Kerin woke up and saw the 4 on the clock that morning she wasn’t overly thrilled to freeze half to death along side Brian at first but once we started moving the cold was the last thing on our minds. In fact as the sun finally crested above the east river and we were on our way walking into DUMBO to grab a perfectly timed cup of coffee at the Brooklyn Roastery the wind was just about the only thing cutting through the fun. I’ll be shooting Kerin + Brian’s wedding in Boston this fall and though I was excited before, I’m totally over the moon now. A connection from Cait + Jason (still our most iconic and famous couple ever) I knew that Kerin would be a dream bride but I was really floored with just how much fun we actually had. So grateful for this city and the friends that continue to open doors for me to do work up here. It’s a quick flight from home, and one of my favorite places to escape to for a few hard days of fun work. If you’ve never considered bringing a photographer to you, reconsider. There’s magic in finding the photographer who sees the world like you do - and that magic is worth every penny. (I may be a bit biased)
