Letting Your Photography Go Deeper. Special Guest Marcos Sanchez || PCP17

Marcos Sanchez is quickly becoming one of my favorite photographers in the world. His eye for authentic moment, emotion, and movement mixed with his ability to capture light in a captivating way is absolutely remarkable but this conversation isn't as much about his work as it is the heart behind it. I met Marcos while working with SquareMuse on a redesign of MilesWittBoyer.com (which looks pretty fantastic I might add) and was absolutely blown away by how connected Marcos is to the European and really global industry, how many awards he has won and places his work has been shown, and how humbly he approaches being an artist.

It's a pretty wild time in the history of photography with almost no barrier to entry. The sheer population of new photographers has created a see of egos just shouting about themselves into the void but amongst so many talented artists, and so many popular names, and so many opportunities to succeed as a photographer today people like Marcos really stand out to me. Genuinely attracted to the stories of the people he is hired to shoot. Honestly trying to serve his family, his community, and his industry with his gifts. Intentionally working towards leaving the world around him a better place and this conversation is the tip of that iceberg. We discuss everything from his philosophy as a wedding photographer to how Marcos becoming a father shifted the value of the images he was taking in his own mind.
