CONNECTION STORY. Nancee + Rich

THE MINUTE I HEARD MY FIRST LOVE STORY, I STARTED LOOKING FOR YOU, NOT KNOWING HOW BLIND THAT WAS. LOVERS DON'T FINALLY MEET SOMEWHERE. THEY'RE IN EACH OTHER ALL ALONG. - RUMI

A few months back I received a text from Miles asking me if I would be able to head to Colorado for him, if I didn’t mind. Obviously I had no problems with a couple days in yet another state I have always wanted to visit, yet had not. I was put in contact with Nancee, the eager bride, who was so, so sweet from day one. We chatted for a good while on the phone and talked through her and Rich’s idea for this shoot. Nancee is originally from Colorado, so when they had a family get together back in her home state she had this dream of bringing her photographers along. This shoot was so much fun!! We all piled into our cars yesterday and decided to drive about a hour and half away to the Rocky Mountain National Park. This drive weaved in and out of some of the most breath taking locations. As we drove I couldn’t imagine how we were passing up all the gorges, mountain sides, and pine trees that Arkansas doesn’t have to offer. As we turned the corner to the parking lot at Bear Lake I realized why we had driven as long as we did. These two picked one of the most beautiful locations I have had the pleasure of shooting.

As we started the shoot I had the privilege of watching these two whisper and giggle and just rest into each other. They had the sweetest souls about them the entire day. They were completely down to do anything to get the shot! We shot in several breath taking locations and were on our way to the last, which I was so excited about. We were headed to huge over looks over looking the Rocky Mountains cascading in the back ground. It was something I knew I just needed to shoot. As we got back on the road about 15 minutes up we rounded this corner to a massive group of elk. We all wanted to get a photo of the elk on our phones and camera. As we parked we all just knew, this, this was going to be our last location. Rich and Nancee wanted photos that they would never get in Arkansas. What screams Colorado more than Elk and the Rockies? During this part of the shoot both of them just came alive. I had seen them smiling and excited all day, but this scene and this opportunity just made them both smile from ear to ear. We were all just a little giddy to have this as our last location. Needless to say, Nancee and Rich are an amazing and beautiful couple. Them and their parents are so sweet and I am excited to “be apart of the family” so says Nancee’s mom. I look forward to watching these two get married to each other!
