Southern Engagement Sessions. Anna + Ed

I am on the edge of my seat to share this one you guys. No really, I still get nervous sometimes - but this shoot was special. I tell the whole story at the bottom, but first...

My car said 106. I'm assuming it was lying, but it couldn't have been too far off. This day was hot you guys, but then again - maybe that's why I'm blogging about it. Because when a session starts at 2:00 in this kind of heat and still turns out this beautiful - it's special. Anna + Ed did the heavy lifting this day but I'll let you in on a little secret. This entire shoot was taken with one camera, and one lens. That's not something I do often, but sometimes I just get into a mood where I want to focus more on the subjects than the gear I'm using so I try and keep it simple. What makes it more fun - this entire session was taken with a Fuji x100F camera that is about the size of an Iphone and literally fits in my pocket. We've stepped pretty far away from the big, noisy cameras that simply beg for attention and allow the photographer holding them to hide behind them and I really love the chance to feel like when I'm shooting I'm simply spending time with my couples instead of putting a lot of pressure on them to perform for my camera.  That's my little soap box for the day - but ultimately what's special here is the couple in the images. So excited to be a part of these memories with these two and so flattered to be able to say I'll be behind the camera on the big day.
