Let’s take a walk. Through pine trees and dark woods around hidden paths to where waterfalls flood and the sound of the river washes away your thoughts. This session was just that. It was calm, simple, beautiful. We didn’t have a big plan but instead just chased the light around finding new places to let it fall across Danielle’s shoulders and onto Coltin’s smile. These two deserved a moment together, to just be present and this shoot was absolutely that. I think these days what the world needs more of is intimate moments without distraction. No phones, no music, no ads - just time lost in the light consumed by a moment. I fell for Danielle + Coltin’s love for each other on this shoot. She’s funny, dry, sarcastic and sort of vulnerable with him. He’s sharp, quick, quiet, deliberate, and so intentional with her. It’s amazing how love works - and when it works - it’s so obvious that no amount of posing, or thinking, or really even planning will do it more justice than simply letting it happen all on it’s own.
