University of Arkansas Engagement Session in the fall

I don’t typically love shooting sessions in the fall. I watch photo after photo run through facebook and instagram and so many times I feel like photographers let the leaves tell the whole story. That said, every year there’s a session or two where I just can’t help but give in. I need to feel those oranges and reds rip through my lens and want to see the way they dance across skin tones and play warm cobbler colored games with the light. I want to remember what it’s like to breath cold air and still feel warm sun and so - Kaley + DJ. These two stole my heart right off the bat. She’s in marketing and organization for an amazing charity event each year, he’s a pro baseball player. She’s smart, pragmatic, organized and totally weak in the knees with him. He’s confident, southern, smooth and totally sensitive with her. It’s actually kind of wild to watch the way the world just disapears to them when they’re together and here we are - just a few weeks away from her walking down the aisle to him and I couldn’t be more excited. I love that I get to hold the camera but more, love that these two found each other. I couldn’t waste the fall color and they were the perfect reason to get out and enjoy it myself.
