Arkansas Wedding Photos | Ballroom at I street | Miranda & Tyler

“What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life — to strength each other in all labor, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting?
— George Eliot

Where do you even start with these two? She’s a beauty queen, he’s the guy that won her over. I honestly don’t really know the entire back story here but I feel like Nicolas Sparks could have a hay day with these two. I’m not nearly as good with words but I know that these images tell a story about two people who are simply happy to have found each other. Miranda is the kind of girl who blows glitter at a camera (seriously). She’s all bubbles and rainbows and has the biggest laugh and the most sincere way of hugging you. On my way into her wedding on the big day I was greeted with a smile that somehow made ME feel welcome as if I was a guest or an old friend. Tyler is a total go with the flow kind of guy. The balance he brings to this relationship is a bit perfect and while she’s very detailed, a tiny bit ocd, and full of the most wonderful energy he’s calm and steady and the chest she just seems to settle into. This wedding day was beautifully classic. No waterfalls or hikes, no adventures or helicopters, no distractions. Just two people surrounded by the people who love them the most in one of our favorite local venues soaking up moment after moment of real memories. There’s something special about weddings like this because while often I know that my photos on the edge of a cliff some where are the purpose for the entire trip, on days like this I remember that my job is simply to help bring back memories that would have been there with or without me. It’s refreshing sometimes to remember how non-essential I am to the process. I’m just the guy with the camera watching love happen and from the moment Miranda hit the back of the aisle and the tears welled up in Tyler’s face I was totally confronted with the number one reason I love this job so much. Because love matters. Not just the content, or the creativity, or the art behind what I do - but the people, the traditions, the commitment. So grateful to call these two friends and to have spent the day with their families and friends and the night dancing along side them!
