Awesome vs. Awkward

Let's face it, photo sessions can be some of the most awkward times in your life. I love walking up to a brand new couple and I know it is about to come, the classic line, "We are awful at pictures!" :) I've yet to meet a couple who has said the opposite, "Get ready, because we are amazing at pictures. Prepare to be blown away." ;) Doesn't happen.

I love that part of the job. Bringing out something in people that they never saw. One thing about our team, which I honestly think sets us apart from others, is that we break down walls. We understand that a lot of people are coming from bad photo experiences with previous photographers. We do everything in our power to break that stereotype and rewrite the narrative when it comes to photo sessions.

If it be families with small children who don't want to smile or engaged couples not knowing how close they should get... we totally get it and we guide you through the whole process. 

In so many scenarios people are thrown into the frame and told to either smile or to just do the first thing that comes to mind. Our team wants to change those scenarios and give our families and couples an EXPERIENCE. One that is natural and one that produces awesome results, no awkward ones. 

I hope you enjoy this engagement session with Elise and Trevor. They were a perfect example. We had fun, played a little, laughed a lot, had an awesome experience and stayed far away from awkward. I gave direction when it was needed and I let them just be, well, THEM. Awesome pictures like this come when the experience is captured rather than forced or manipulated. In my humble opinion, take it for what it is, I think we do this better than anyone else.
